Consultations & Development Support

Zoom consultations with producer Rachel Stander. A few common topics covered:

• Basics of equity crowdfunding
• Working with a fiscal sponsor
• Setting up your LLC and business infrastructure
• Selecting your key creative team and crewing up for production
• Preparing for a successful shoot (locations, scheduling, contracts, permits, insurance, etc)

We also offer written feedback on development materials:

• Pitch decks
• Grant applications

$200 – 1-hour Zoom consultation
$150 – written feedback on a pitch deck or grant application (inquire about availability)

Festival Database

We maintain an Airtable database of over 700 festivals that is sortable and filterable by various criteria, including length and premiere requirements, festival dates, targeted interests, “Best Of” list mentions, and more. This is a resource designed for filmmakers and producers who want to strategize and manage their own festival runs, intended as a DIY alternative to full-service providers like Festival Formula and The Film Festival Doctor.

The database is updated on an ongoing basis and information (dates, fees, etc) is generally accurate to the current or previous cycle. (There are some “dormant” festivals in the database that we keep an eye on even though they’re on hiatus or otherwise haven’t released updated information in the last few cycles.) The festivals included are worldwide and cover all formats, but there is some bias towards US festivals for live-action narrative.

You will get:

• A customizable Airtable database with starter views configured
• 60-minute Zoom tutorial on how to use the database to best serve you in building a strategy and tracking your festival cycle
• 30-minute follow-up Zoom for additional configuration, as needed, or to answer questions that arise as you start to use the database

$500 – Full Database and Tutorial

Synced Data Add-On

Do you want the benefits of the full database without the burden of maintaining the data? We’ve got you covered! This add-on subscription pushes updates out from our master database to your own Airtable. You will get updates to deadlines, fees, notes, and more as they are added to A Season of Rain’s database.

Note: Automatic syncing is only supported on paid Airtable accounts. If you are on a free account, please inquire about options for manual updates.

$200 – One-time Setup Fee*
$95/every 6 months – Synced Data Subscription add-on

Festival Strategy

If you’re not quite ready to tackle festival strategy on your own, we can watch your film and curate a list of suitable festivals based on your goals and budget.

You will get a 1-hour Zoom Strategy Session that covers:

• Submission strategy for one film
• Guidance on assets and deliverables beyond the DCP
• EPK feedback

$250 for a short up to 30 minutes
$450 for a feature up to 120 minutes

Dates & Deadlines Updates Add-On

We offer a subscription to receive updated festival dates and deadlines for the festivals in your target list. This subscription is available whether you’re on a free or paid Airtable plan, but delivery is slightly different. For clients on free Airtable accounts, you will have to manually pull the data into your database, but you can do it for all the festivals in your list at once. For clients on paid Airtable accounts, we can configure your base to pull data through real-time syncing.

$100 – One-time Setup Fee*
$50/every 6 months – Dates and Deadlines Updates add-on

Prelim Schedule & Budget for Shorts

Drawing on our production experience, we will create a prelim shooting schedule and budget (in Google Sheets) for your short film so you can plan your fundraising and be ready for your shoot.
